Sechszehnpunkt-Marienkäfer_Dr. Ulrich Werneke
Datum: Uhrzeit: 18:00 Uhr - 20:00 Uhr Ort: Kleve; Parking lot of the Materborn military training area

Join NABU on a fascinating excursion to the Materborn military training area! On May 23, 2024 from 6 p.m., we offer the unique opportunity to identify insects in their natural habitat under the guidance of NABU experts. Use cell phone apps and bring your own camera to capture breathtaking macro photos. Staff from Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences will be on hand to answer technical questions and provide tips to ensure an educational and unforgettable experience.

The approximately 100-hectare area has species-rich meadows, various forest edges with adjoining high forest, an avenue of chestnut trees, solitary trees (chestnuts), marshy areas with mounds, shallow waters and wooded sandy-gravel embankments. 420 insect species and around 290 plant species have already been mapped in the area. Among them are mosquitoes, butterflies, bugs, cicadas, hoverflies and robber flies.

Discover the fascinating world of insects with us!
