The goal
As a university, we want this project to have a transformative effect in the region and beyond. We want to make the region and, at the same time, our students who take their knowledge into the world, fit for the future. Our vision is to become THE university for sustainable transformation.

TransRegINT is our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and participation.
1. Innovation
For us, innovation means developing good ideas, creating new things, and pursuing creative approaches that make life in our region better.
Innovations don't necessarily need to be technical in nature - societal and social innovations are at least as important. It's not about reinventing the wheel, but about refining existing approaches or tailoring existing solutions to your own needs. Which strengths of the region can we utilise? How can those involved engage in better dialogue with each other? How can they support each other? There are plenty of starting points.
2. Sustainability
Sustainability is the central theme of our era. This often refers primarily to ecological sustainability. With TransRegINT, we're also looking at social and economic sustainability - but primarily with a focus on the following six Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations:
3. Participation
All people should be able to engage with and participate in the community. It's often the case that in practice this isn't fully possible, or only possible with great difficulty. For example, a physical or mental disability can mean that a person is faced with insurmountable obstacles in everyday life, such as comprehension problems or mobility barriers. The same applies to financially disadvantaged people and those at risk of poverty, who often have less access to healthcare, education and everyday goods (e.g. shoes and clothing). That's where TransRegINT comes in: we aim to contribute to improving the way those people take part in society.
