Company evening “New Work – Shaping work!”

On the evening of April 16, 2024, the series of company evenings continued at the Green FabLab in Kamp-Lintfort, this time on the topic of “New Work – Shaping Work!”.
Keynote speeches opened up a variety of perspectives on the topic: Prof. Dr. Georg Hauck spoke about the importance of appreciation in the context of New Work and emphasized the positive effects on work culture and results. Prof. Dr. Kathrin Weidner and Raphaela Wolberg (ALTANA AG) presented their experiences and findings on the implementation of New Work in theory and practice and also highlighted opportunities for cooperation between the university and companies. Finally, Johannes Pfeifer addressed the important topic of psychological safety and the promotion of an open error culture, which is crucial for the successful implementation of New Work.

After the keynote speeches, the participants had the opportunity to discuss the topics presented. Over a delicious cold buffet and drinks, the informal exchange was stimulated and deepened, while the atmosphere was characterized by openness and curiosity. In addition to the event, the traveling exhibition “Fathers on the Lower Rhine” offered a further opportunity for inspiration and reflection on gender roles and the compatibility of career and family.
