EcoParkKleve: Tailwind from Klever Birne
The idea for community-orientated living with a focus on sustainability, minimalism, togetherness and more nature has been given new impetus by winning the second prize in the Klever Birne sustainability competition.
Shortly after the competition, the initiative organised an information evening for interested parties and was pleased to welcome new faces. The group then met at the beginning of October to discuss the next steps.
EcoParkKleve is still looking for a suitable plot of land. In the meantime, several plots of land have been inspected and dialogue has been sought, but everything is still open. What counts: ‘It should be a property with a connection,’ was the common view. It would be desirable to realise the project in time for the 2029 state garden show in Kleve.
However, before this can happen, a consensus must be reached on the implementation, a concept must be written and an organisational form must be defined. Working groups have now been formed for this purpose and will commence their work in the coming weeks.
The EcoParkKleve initiative continues to welcome further supporters and is looking forward to the coaching it has won with the second prize of Klever Birne 2024 and will soon be taking advantage of.
