Our Agroforestry Living Laboratory team invites you to the fifth agroforestry regulars’ table Lower Rhine. The regulars’ table starts at 4.30 pm with a field tour of the freshly planted agroforestry Alleen 3 in Kleve. The meeting point is the field path entrance. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk on in the tropical greenhouse at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
The Alleen 3 project is a collaboration between Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, the town of Kleve and the Haus Riswick Agricultural Research Centre. In January 2025, trees were planted in several planting phases on a total of six agroforestry tree strips on the 3.3-hectare site, which is owned by the city of Kleve. The arable land between the wooded strips will continue to be farmed by Haus Riswick.
The agroforestry regulars’ table Lower Rhine is aimed at practitioners from agriculture, horticulture, tree nurseries, forestry and landscape conservation, regardless of whether they already have many years of experience with agroforestry or are just taking their first steps.
